Patricia A Resick, PhD, ABPP is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University. Professor Resick’s specialty is in understanding and treating the effects of traumatic events, particularly posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She developed and tested Cognitive Processing Therapy, an effective short-term treatment for PTSD. She served as President of ISTSS and ABCT. Professor Resick has received numerous awards for her research, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from two divisions of APA.
