The Well-Ahead study involves a feasibility trial for a novel mobile app for female ex-serving military and former emergency service members. It is designed to improve mental health and wellbeing. As there is very little research evidence available regarding the specific mental health and wellbeing needs and preference of this population, the study also includes a qualitative interview component aimed at understanding the unique perspectives of women who’ve transitioned out of high-risk industries including Defence.
To participate in the Well-Ahead Study, you must:
Identify as a woman.
Have previously served in the military or are a former emergency services personnel.
Reside in Victoria.
Currently experience mild to moderate mental health symptoms (e.g., difficulty sleeping or concentrating, disengaging from usual activities).
Not be considered a current active reservist.
